BULKHEAD REPAIR

Bulkheads are a frequent source of water in basements. Prefabricated bulkhead units come with a rubberized seal that wears down over time. Bulkheads are also often backfilled with earth, creating an opportunity for moisture to accumulate. We will assess your bulkhead and work with you to design a solution to meet your specific needs.

The BG Foundation Repair Solution

We will use an injection of a closed-cell polymer resin material where the prefabricated bulkhead meets the foundation. The resin is a hydrophobic material, specifically designed for this application. It is water-activated, which means that even if the leak is active, we can get it to stop.

Cellar doors or bulkhead doors have been around for centuries, providing access to subterranean storage areas. Originally made of wood, these doors protected cellars storing food, wine, or coal. In the 19th century, metal doors became popular for their durability. Modern advancements brought more resilient materials, such as fiberglass and steel, along with improved design for insulation and security, reflecting the evolving needs and technology of home construction.
